The K9Edge Daycare Kennel Attendant
The K9Edge, the North Shore’s PREMIER Daycare, Boarding and Training Center, is hiring kennel attendants responsible for dog care and facility cleanliness. Your focus is to ensure that all daycare and boarding dogs are safe, exercised, clean, happy and healthy.
The position is part-time. Early and late shifts are 4, 6 and 8 hours in duration. Starting time is at 6am. Closing is at 8pm. Compensation is based on experience.

Experience
- No experience required - we will train
- Previous experience in a daycare/kennel a plus
- Experience walking dogs on leash a plus
Responsibilities and Duties including but not limited to:
Dog Care
- Leash walk dogs to play areas, rest areas, kennel runs and relief areas
- Play with and exercise dogs of all breed types
- Monitor solo dogs and dog groups
- Feed and provide water per instructions and schedule.
- Monitor and report any behavior/health concerns to a supervisor
Cleaning
- Clean and disinfect kennels, play and rest areas, service and relief areas, indoor and outdoor
- Wash, rinse and dry food bowls and water buckets
- Wash, dry and fold laundry
- Restock dog food and treats
- Remove trash to dumpster
- Inspect dog toys, equipment and service areas for adjustment and/or damage.
- Notify supervisor of any facility maintenance issues
Record Keeping
- Document play, feeding and turnout times.
- Document special diets, special requirements and medications
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older. (Attendants may be under 18 with proper permits)
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and reach
- Must be able to push/pull equipment
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation solutions, animal dander and secretions.
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation and live locally.
- Must be dependable and reliable. If you are late for shifts and/or call out last-minute and/or frequently, this job is not for you.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and some holidays (not every holiday) when we are at capacity.

- Must be able to work with and communicate with others as a team.
- Must like to clean.
- Must have a sense of humor. Must tolerate stupid jokes.
- Must like humans.
- Must like to clean… a lot!
